Whitbread acts as a force for good by supporting communities, acting responsibly and sustainably and protecting the environment. Water is central to successful business operations and to its corporate social responsibility agenda and so began working with Waterscan over 15 years ago to innovate ways to preserve this precious natural resource. Now, Whitbread has an industry leading position on water as a self-supplier and is building long-term operational resilience through a ground-breaking risk-mapping approach.

Neil Pendle, Managing Director at Waterscan, commented: “We’re thrilled that Whitbread’s commitment to water has been recognised with this award. It’s been our pleasure to advise and support its goal to achieve greater water sustainability for many years; a journey which has always worked to find new ways to drive the water debate forward.

“I was also pleased to see that another of our customers, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, was applauded for its work on advancing sustainable packaging and supply chains at the same event.

“Finally, I would like to express my gratitude to the team at Footprint, event sponsor Matthew Clarke, and award category sponsor Britvic, for helping to get all of the winners and shortlisted entrants’ hard work and achievements recognised.”
