Waterscan is proud to announce its partnership with London Waterkeeper, an independent charity dedicated to protecting and improving London’s rivers.
The collaboration aims to empower London Waterkeeper to achieve greater impact through improved data management, targeted research, and public advocacy initiatives.

As Waterscan’s Charity of the Year, London Waterkeeper will receive support in developing new tools to streamline its data storage and analysis, allowing the charity to draw clearer insights from complex information on urban water quality. In addition, Waterscan will assist with skills-based volunteering, including, research into emerging issues such as PFAS (so-called “forever chemicals”), a growing concern for water safety and environmental health.
The partnership reflects a shared vision to address the systemic challenges facing urban rivers and engage London communities in safeguarding these vital ecosystems.

The partnership will also explore ways to amplify London Waterkeeper’s advocacy efforts, ensuring communities and local groups are equipped with actionable tools and resources.
One key focus will be reducing rainwater entering London’s overstretched sewer systems—promoting green infrastructure solutions to mitigate flooding and pollution.
As part of this collaboration, Theo Thomas will also be speaking at Waterscan’s Water Matters event in June 2025, sharing insights on urban water challenges and sustainable solutions.
